Here, Coke is made by Khmer hands, and there are stories behind.
In Cambodia, Coca‑Cola’s story is not only told through bottles, trucks, or advertisements. It is brought to life every day by the people behind the brand whose dedication, pride, and care shape Coca-Cola’s journey across the country.
While Coca-Cola is a global brand, in Cambodia it operates as a local business — made, shared, and brought to life by people in the communities it serves.
For more than 33 years, Coca‑Cola has been part of everyday moments in Cambodian communities, from neighborhood shops to family celebrations. Behind these familiar scenes are employees and partners whose hard work quietly ensures that Coca‑Cola continues to be part of life’s shared experiences.
To honor these people and the stories they carry, Coca‑Cola Cambodia is launching a series of short films under its “Made by Khmer Hands” platform. The films bring the message “Here in Cambodia, Coca‑Cola is made by Khmer hands” to life by spotlighting the individuals who help keep Coca‑Cola moving and connected to communities across the country.
The series features Mr. Sao Kunthea, a Coca‑Cola employee whose role in operations helps keep the business moving every day, and Mr. Huy Chhoung Meng, a local depot owner whose work connects Coca‑Cola with communities across the country
The Hands That Keep Coca‑Cola Moving (Employee – Operations)
Behind every bottle of Coca‑Cola reaching communities across Cambodia are employees whose dedication keeps the business moving.
As part of Coca‑Cola Cambodia’s operations team, warehouse employees play a vital role in storing, preparing, and dispatching products efficiently – reminding us that every Coke in Cambodia is made by Khmer hands.
One of those hands belongs to Mr. Sao Kunthea, Head of logistics, who has been with Coca‑Cola Cambodia for 22 years. He began his journey after completing his university studies and has grown alongside the company through commitment and teamwork.
Over the years, Mr. Sunthea has helped keep operations running smoothly and takes pride in the strong sense of teamwork he shares with his colleagues, a pride that also extends to his family, especially his daughter, who speaks proudly of his career and the meaning his work has held for them over the years.
Through employees like Mr. Sao Kunthea, Coca‑Cola Cambodia continues to move forward, shaped by the hands and commitment of its people.

The Hands That Share Coca‑Cola (Retailer – Community)
Small neighborhood stores and local retailers remain the backbone of daily life in Cambodia, connecting people to everyday necessities and shared moments. Across Cambodia, wholesalers and local retailers play a vital role in connecting brands with communities. Behind the movement of products are teams who work every day to ensure beverages reach markets, businesses, and households across the country.
For Mr. Huy Chhoung Meng, a Coca‑Cola depot owner for nearly 30 years, the journey has been built gradually through perseverance and long‑term partnership. Starting his wholesale business in the early 2000s, he grew step by step alongside Coca‑Cola, adapting to change while continuing to expand his operations.
Like many entrepreneurs, his journey has come with challenges, but seeing his customer base and business grow reinforced his commitment to move forward. Today, Mr. Meng takes pride in the business he has built and the trusted relationships he maintains within his community.
His journey reflects the many wholesalers across Cambodia whose hands help bring Coca‑Cola into neighborhoods and local stores, a reminder that behind every bottle is a story shaped by people.
