Real estate insiders say the COVID-19 outbreak from the Feb 20 community incident has affected the Kingdom’s real estate and property sector sales.
Sorn Seap, founder and director of Key Real Estate Co Ltd, said the occurrence when four Chinese COVID-19-positive nationals bribed their way out of quarantine from the Sokha Hotel in Phnom Penh amplified the pandemic’s stifling of purchase activity. It has worsened despite the government having worked diligently in its fight against the spread of coronavirus.
Seap noted the government’s prudent steps in shutting down some cities and provinces cannot help but affect the property and real estate market as a whole.
