April 30th 2021, Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology – CADT organized (90 participants) a Zoom meeting with CEOs of BookMeBus, VTenh, Muuve, Khmum eShop, Nham24, BlOC, and Supper App discussing about the startup, the main challenges, the collaborations, the opportunities of eCommerce and Delivery platforms in Cambodia.

1. The Supply Chain

Most of the CEOs stressed that it seems like eCommerce and Delivery startup businesses in Cambodia haven’t responded to the high demand of the growing population while quality and standard assurance of the eCommerce and Delivery services haven’t done well yet.

The payment gateway is also the complicated thing which is required the companies limit the services and products offering to mainly urban customers rather than the customers who are living in the countryside.

2. The Customers

Customers’ experience and education on using eCommerce and Delivery services are on the rise of improvement reinforcement which make them hard to access the greatest features and benefits of the platforms. The eCommerce and Delivery companies are required to collaboratively working together to educate and learn from the customers to offer the best experience of eCommerce and Delivery platforms they deserve.

3. Data protection

Customers not feel comfortable in giving their personal data, especially using their credit card to process online payment in buying products online. The government and relevant stockholders such as both local and international banks working together to create technology tools to protect consumers data which reinforce their trust on making online payments.

4. The Rivals

If the giant businesses in the field of eCommerce and Delivery enter Cambodia, the local startups are not ready to compete with them yet as they are not strong in term of financial and technical support. The million or billion dollar companies can take over the big market segment if they want to operate in Cambodia. However, the local startups express no worry about this as the international companies not really well understand about the local culture, the people, and the infrastructure in Cambodia, even if they have big fund to operate their business in Cambodia, it might not be successful as the market is small.

5. The Opportunities

The eCommerce and Delivery platforms will be growing substantively in the from now on as the growth of internet user and mobile access plus online payment gateways integrations well connected. In the future, giant tech and other businesses will enter Cambodia, they will look for strong local eCommerce and Delivery players to merge their mission and vision with, then the local startups will be able to expand their business and strengthen their capability to build tech and support the local market even better.

YouTube is a search engine. It’s not just a social platform. So if you want to get more YouTube views, optimize your videos for search! Do your research, and improve your video’s search ranking with the latest SEO tips!

When your ideal viewer types in your chosen keywords, you want your video ranking near the top of YouTube’s results list. That means you need to know what kind of videos they enjoy: tutorials, inspiration, or entertainment.

Ranking in search results is the best way to get brand new eyes—not just subscribers and people who are already interested in your channel (although we’ll talk more about them later)—on your videos.

Promote Videos To Your Audience

You already know that YouTube is the world’s second-largest search engine.

But that doesn’t mean you can just upload a bunch of optimized videos and expect to rank.

Just like with blog content, you need to give your YouTube videos a little “push” to get going.

That push can include sharing clips of your video on social media.

Turn Viewers Into Subscribers

The steps that I outlined so far should help you get more views.

But views is only one part of growing your YouTube channel.

One of the best ways to get more subscribers is to add a subscribe button to your End Screen.

Instant Views is nothing but a web-based platform known as a YouTube Promotion platform. This platform was established in the year 2016, and has become one of the best platforms for the YouTube Channel Owners. This platform is there to promote your YouTube videos and attract new subscribers. It’s currently the best YouTube Video promoters on the web-world.

Since Facebook becomes the most popular social media in Cambodia, it also becomes the most popular communication tool for daily conversations among Cambodian people. Cambodian people use Facebook to connect and communicate with their communities and customers, as well as friends. Youth in Cambodia (under age thirty) make up 65.3% of Cambodia’s 14,805,000 people. Twenty-six percent of Cambodians are between the ages of 14 and 30. All of the youth in the country are second and third generation offspring of survivors of the Khmer Rouge, a genocide that occurred from 1975-1979. Source: Wikipedia Here some reasons why Video format is so much popular on Facebook in Cambodia.

The growth of internet infrastructure

While internet connection or internet penetration in Cambodia is getting easier than every before, everyone who own a smart phone can access Facebook to consume information and communications among their networks. Top telco companies such as Smart, Metfone, and Cellcard have been expanding their internet service coverage to even remote areas throughout the kingdom which allows Cambodians using internet even easier.

The growth of mobile phone usage and Convenience

Affordable mobile phones which are the big players in Cambodia market, known as Samsung, VIVO, OPPO, RealMe, and many other smartphone brands enter Cambodia which allow small and medium income households can afford to pay for buying smartphones which they can use all day long to access Facebook. Most of Cambodian people own at least a smartphone rather than a desktop or PC, that is why video content on Facebook is really the ultimate format for Cambodian people ton consume content on Facebook.

The trend of watching rather than reading

It seems like everyone on the planet likes watching videos then reading books or information online since the smartphone era has entered the human being civilization.  People like to spend hour watching movies or watching educational tutorials, but they don’t like spend 10 minutes to ready a story.

Lack of time

Everyone has a lot of things to taking care off. It seems like 24h a day is just not enough for them anymore. They like to watch short videos to learn things fast rather then 30 pages a days to learn a thing.
