How Sihanoukville is now ?

How Sihanoukville is now ? I remember those nice hotels with barbecue on the beach every night with very backpackers relaxed atmosphere. I thought that might be the best to do day trip of the beautiful islands close by..

    How Sihanoukville is now ?

If you ever heard of Sihanoukville, it is a city in south-east Cambodia. It’s known for being a beach destination and being one of the most popular tourist destinations in Cambodia. In the past few years, there have been some major changes happening to this once peaceful destination. In recent years, it has been experiencing rapid development and has become a hotspot for tourism due to its proximity to Bangkok. This has led to increased property prices and an influx of foreigners, which has caused tension with the local population. There have also been some environmental concerns as more hotels are being built on the coastline. What is this effect on the locals living there? Is it still a tourist destination worth visiting?
