Currently, the reserve requirement rates for foreign currencies (especially US dollars) and national currencies are set differently.
The reserve requirement ratio for foreign currency and national currency is set at 12.5% and 8%, respectively.
12.5% for foreign currency reserve requirements, of which 4.5% is financed by the National Bank of Cambodia and 8% is not No interest. Interest is also paid for riel reserves.
